Summer stuff- airsoft, yay or neigh?

My friends got all of theres at $150 and broke within 3 weeks. Sure that is not a ton for a gun but it shouldn't break that easy.
 
I love airsoft guns, but the downside of them is that there expensive. (if you want a good one that doesn't break)

I have airsoft wars a lot with my friends and its like a real life simulation of a battlefield (Prob not but whatever) and we take it like its life or death. Its a fucking amazing natural high and the adrenaline going through your body is awesome.
 
airsoft is the shit.paintball is fun too but lugging around a big ass tank and that gay hopper thing gets annoying pretty quick. plus, its not like paintball actually hurts unless your really close, so that ruins any "rush" advantage it might have. airsoft guns are WAYYY cooler, if you got like 4 or 5 people with different guns and different roles its sick. we used to have one kid with a sniper making shots like 100 yards away or more, two with assult rifles, and one with two gas uzi's it was fucking awesome.
 
no, it doesnt cause any pain unless your really close. paintball is like a slight sting for a second, nothing that would make you scared to get hit, and ive gotten hit pretty much everywhere with paintballs.
 
On average when I get out in airsoft I get hit 5 or more times at once because the bbs per minute is insane in my friends guns
 
I have an ECHO 1 m4 (or whatever they call it) that was a little over $100, dont remember exactly how much. It was their first year and I never had any problems with it.

Havnt played for a few years. I would say just get something with a metal gearbox. If the body is plastic its fine just dont go throwing it on the ground or anything.
 
Paintball is better than airsoft.

Paintball is more expensive, the guns are not made of plastic, and its a legit professional sport.
 
me and my friend both got air soft guns like 3 years ago and it was bangin. its so much fun just playing 1v1. unfortunately he got his off ebay and it broke so we basically stopped altogether. so i would defiantly recommend buying off a serious air soft website, otherwise don't bother. i got a g36c and my friend got an ak47.
 
paintball is way better and more fun. buy an automag and hurt people.

what about your eye balls???? does one wear goggles when playing airsoft lol?

Yes they wear goggles or sunglasses. Even though it's plastic it could still take an eye out.

And idk about like competitive airsoft but we used to have wicked like 10 person battles in 10 or so acres of woods behind my house, you can def feel it when you fet hit for the most part and we would just go "out" just like paintball.
 
Yeah man we're totally retarded because we aren't all into running around with plastic guns pretending we are commandos because we weren't man enough to actually join the military.
 
I don't paintball either...

And also, paintball is a well established sport with a large industry and professionals. Not just a bunch of dudes running around in the woods with replica rifles that shoot plastic instead of lead.
