Summer Skiing

so its may now and pretty much everyone else's mountains are closing or already closed. people are starting to talk about hood in the summer and it seems like everyone and there mother is planning on moving out to govy and bumming it. anyone else think its a lot higher than usual? sure hood is already crowded as hell in the summer with all the racers and other campers but it seems as if the public park may be super corwded as well.

what i propose:

in an effort to cut down on global warming and at the same time make it less crowded, only people living within 200 miles of Mt. Hood should be allowed to ski there this summer which would cut down on the number of road trips and pollution being released into our oregon air. whadda ya think?

Yeah, except that still includes all of the gapers from Portland (not saying that ALL riders from P-town are gapers, but the majority of them are).
 
I agree with both statements. I think they should make a park test that you have to pass to get into the park.
 
I'm pretty sure it would just make summer skiing more expensive if less people were allowed to come.
 
gapers are crucial to skiing. with out Tourist Ted coming up and dropping $100+ on rentals for the family, $300+ on ski lessons, and $100 on lunch, the mountains wouldnt make enough bank.
 
You should come visit Silver Mountain in Idaho...that's a small resort...almost no lift lines ever, you only get your pass checked on the gondola, and a terrible terrain park. But the snow is actually pretty bomb if you like to ski trees.
 
yeah, i have yet to encounter any. maybe some kids who play them selves up and claim like mad on NS... but i havent met and gapers...
 
there's really not much in the way of gapers over the summer, its either ski racers, or park people, or fucking gay ass campers. not really very many numbnut's taking their 5 year olds through the park, just fucking retarded windells kids and their coaches that don't teach them any ettiquette
 
yeah i might not "kill it" but i know park rules.. and goddamn windells kids fuckin up the park and standing all around and just fuckin it up.... you just got to tell them to fuck off and go back to there lanes... cause there only supposed to be on there lanes
 
yea well obviously its not gonna happen and it is necessary to keep it the way it is from a business standpoint, i just hate gapers on the decks of jumps and other places getting in the way

but its always fun to sesh with random kids from the midwest or east coast
 
windells is a big advertisement/product placement for a shit ton of misc. apparel/board/boot/ski companies. its so fucking lame... i hate how skiing is all about who is a "gangstuh".
 
how else are they gonna get enough money for the lane at t-line? in reality they don't make that much money, my dad is the lawyer that handles their contract with t-line in the summer and every year the prices to use the lane keep going up. they gotta find ways to stay on top and keep it open, advertising is a huge part of that, and our society for that matter
 
ya.. in the summer that makes sense.. but they have things in the winter that dont cost as much but might as well. its all but tricking little kids into spending all their rich parents money on miscellaneous crap. who cares what you wear. just ski kids.
 
Actually Windells doesn't pay a cent for the use of their space, most of the cost is in cat time which is basically following the price of fuel. So tell someone to lower the price of gas and we me get somewhere.
