Summer Skiing in Colorado

I might potentially take a job over this summer that would put me in Denver. Wanted to see if anyone had experience with skiing during the early weeks of summer. I know A basin is usually open longer than most resorts but is there anything besides that? Also is Copper's park open to public or is that only a private camp? Thanks.

A basin is into June. We’ll see about that this year though. Breck does a peak 10 hike on 4th of July. Not too sure about copper. If you’re willing to hike, you can definitely find snow

Copper's on mountain park is open to the public but the prices are steep even for a day session. They used to have a public hike park at the base of the mountain called Big Island Park that was free (I think, or at least incredibly cheap), but they got rid of that in favor of "family friendly" activities (so mom and dad can shell out cash to tire out the kids).

Is it really open to the public? I was under the impression you had to either be a Woodward camper or invited.

Ah you might be right. I tried to look it up and couldn't find anything, but I remember seeing the option in the past (might have been pre-COVID) to do just a day session, they might not do that anymore. It was pricey enough to where I didn't think it was worth it though, I want to say it was around $200.

I've known Ouray to have some summer skiing if you don't mind hiking

I’ve heard that you can go but a day is like 500 bucks or something wild like that

Appreciate the responses. May just pick up skating or biking this summer cuz i sure as hell cant afford the day prices that were mentioned in here.

plenty of parks and pump tracks for both in Denver
