Hey me and my buddy made this today and we are just wondering if there i a technique to waxing a PVC pipe(s) to make it slippery ? Anyone got any suggestions or just use normal candle wax?

pvc slides fine with just water. also you not going to be happy when your skis fall off early and you catch your tip on those triangle supports

Yeah that's going to suck ass. I would take those off, or make them much smaller

Oh man, I've tried so much different shit to try to get my PVC to slide optimally. Some things work way better than just water, just experiment with different materials.

Furniture polish was fucking magic for me, and I think crisco too. Can't remember.

The triangle supports are a lot smaller then they seem , and i dont really know what to use yet because I got mixxed opinions haha , but ill experiment with water

where did you buy your furniture polish?

generally if you take a chisel and make notches every inch or two it'll reduce the surface area to the point where it will slide. gotta make sure the notches are nice and deep though.

dude trust me that candle wax will work. I literally grab any candle in my house, rub it on and you can notice a huge difference. you can use water as well each time you use the rail.

alright thanks man ill test it out on a extra peice of pvc and see how it is ++

My rents had some laying around. Prob not too practical if you don't have any on second though.

Candle and water for sure then.

Spray a tine bit of Pam on the front and rub it around. DO JOT USE A LOT OR IT WILL BE WAY TOO SLIPPERY THOUGH.

to be honest, you'll probably be fine without waxing it. i always find that PVC is almost too slippery

yeah well i probably just try random things because my pvc doesnt slide very well compared to a normal rail and it is slow from this so I need to find a way to speed it up and make it slide smoother
