i didnt no where to put this but watever so dont get pissed if its in the wrong place...
i am planning on building a summer/fall setup in my backyard...drop in to rail
its gonna be 8 feet tall.... 4feet wide...it will have a 20 foot drop in...with a 15 foot rail
i no how to make the rail...but any sugestions on the drop in part...i was thinkin of gettin some pallets from home depot and usin those then putin wood sheets on top then coverin with outdoor carpet...
would that sound like a good idea...the wood pallets come in 4ft by 4ft.
also how do i get the ramp to curve when i change the different steepness of the ramp sections?
i need help and i havent goten invited into build a jib 101 so can someone help me here?

im not sure how you would change the pitch of the pallets. i think you would save yourself alot of trouble by building something like this. to change the pitch i have two 2x4's for the steep part, then plywood on top of them, and i just nailed this to the to the not so steep part. you could try the pallets, but it seems pretty sketchy to me. hope this helps

i was planning on doin 2x4s but i was planning to make a pallet-ish kinda thing with 2x4s.
i was gonna take 2 parralel 2x4s and connect sideways ones to the paralell ones. then cover with plywood.
and my plan was just to nail the different sections of the ramp together i just assumed that it wouldnt work tht way. i dunno tho.
how much did urs cost to make?

i would it less than 20 ft long. makeit about 15 and you should be good. and a 15ft rail ( like you already said) would be a great setup make sure you make all your transitions smooth so its nice'

If you can get an invite to the build - a jib club, there is a Whole thread to how to build a dropin ( materials, specs, cost, etc.) thiis would be your best bet

check out my pics, its has very similar demesions as the ones you described, and I also have pics of the structure in more detail.
