Summer rollerblade advice

Yo, I wanna get into rollerblading this summer since my yard isn’t big enough for a rail setup but wasn’t sure if you need specific blades to slide rails and stuff. I’ve seen the ones that only have 2 wheels and have the thing in the middle for sliding but they seem pretty expensive. Can you slide rails with just normal blades?

No, you can't slide rails with "normal" rec skates unless you're a gawd.

You can get aggressive ones (made for grinding and stuff) with two grindwheels in the middle or you can get one with four rolling wheels and a smaller groove in the middle, four rolling wheels is faster on pumping and turns better but it's harder to grind with.

DM me for skate recommendations

You can get cheap completes from rollerwarehouse, like Razors cults. If you're just starting out the skate won't matter too much, it'll matter even less if you treat them like ski boots. They're not ski boots, bend your knees. Have a vid for inspiration

I used to speed skate when I was little as shit so I feel like I’d be a dope ass blader now

I hate to break it to you but you will probably almost fall on your face trying to go up one ramp. Blading on transitions is a whole new world compared to doing speed skating or playing hockey on a flat surface.

You'll get used to riding ramps in like a few sessions though especially if you're an experienced park skier
