So I'm gathering as many Victorian ns'ers for a rail sesh sometime in January, I just need to see how many would be intrested in doing this because If I don't get the numbers then theres no real point. Austeeze is helpin me organize this so props to him, if anyone has any rails or wood or synthetic grass then that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers and let's se this happen.

Boom. I'm in 100%. I have a pretty epic boom box set up. I am therefore applying for position of DJ, as I don't think skiing with my broken arm is a good idea. But yeh, I'm down. Pm me if there's anything you need me to do

lol we didn't really get it going due to time constraints (or going away over summer or other shit) and lack of organisation , although I'm still up for it this year leading into the Aussie winter.

What do ya reckon sneakers?

It will go ahead in the near future, though I need the support of the community, I'm considering making an entry fee of $10 though we need numbers. I will make a large contribution towards the construction of the Rails, Turf, Transations, Kicker.etc though if you have any Power tools or Materials lying around then that would be appreciated. Construction of the set up will occur the day before the Jam commences so a few blokes would be appreciated.

Peace,

Sneakers.

Feel like bumping this for 2011 summer.

my project as soon as i finish school is to build my own little summer rail and i'd be more than happy to help out if people want to set up a public one for the day.

Would be stoked to make something happen before leaving in mid Jan! Happy to roll over to Melbs for a bit to hang out and session some rails if it's gonna happen! I made a sweet box a couple years back now, so can give some advice as to construction etc if crew are wanting to build a summer set up rather than full blown urban!

again if we could get this together before like the 2nd of january
i would love to come and build up the hype for going OS

would be stoked to get this going too! not moving back to CO till at least next year so need something to keep me occupied..

It's good to see that people are still interested, as I thought nothing would really come out of this.

I think the most appropriate park for a rail jam would be Fawkner Park as there are some nice banks for run ins etc. In terms of logistics my apartment is across the road from the park and construction and movement of rails will be a breeze.

What's the general consensus on dates for the events? I would also be more then happy to have the Jam running for consecutive days in the summer holidays, as it means more practice for people.

I'm in totally and I can bring friends, dateswise, I'm leaving the country on 7th december until like mid-january but i'll definitely spread word.

Como Park oval. Road gap to the oval embankment. There is a really long downhill run in above the road. You could build some sort of jump using the fence. Then the drop is about 4m and the distance to the sloped landing is about 5m. If you can get enough snow it would be the perfect urban jump.

Do you want to come with me to Bunnings in Hawthorn next week and we'll get some materials? I lack a car. I think it would be best for this to take place sometime later in the year as it starts to warm up. And help with getting ice shavings from medians ice house would be good as well.

Sounds like the man's got a plan. Im down for that, but dont think i'll have any time to help build anything till after the season, struggling enough to juggle full time uni and skiing 3 days a week as it is.

I've been looking for the last few months at the hand rails outside Aami Park Stadium (The big white building with lights) you'd need to sling shot or have a drop in ramp to drop in but it would look sick for videos and photo shoots.

I'm heading to bunnings this coming Wednesday to get materials and I've decided that Treasury gardens near the city would be the bes place to do it as I live near there and I would only have to walk the rails to the park. So stay tuned to this page for updates.
