Summer rail

Im making a new rail, but I dont know if I should make it 10feet or 12feet.Any suggestion ?

Wow, I could see if you were asking like 10 or 20, but 10 or 12? Just do 12. It's a little longer.

It obviously depends on the speed you have.

If you cant get enough speed, go 10.

If you easily have speed, go 12, or 15.

yes it should be fine. but why not just 2inch?

If I use 2 pipe of 2" each, that do 4"inch.And you dont think if I put that on a 2x4, the 2x4 will be not enough large to have 4" on it ?Because the 2x4 is 2"inch.

MAKE IT LONGER THAN 12 FEET.

12 feet is NOTHING. you will regret it if you don't make it longer. at least 16. i would go 20, if you could.

use 1 1/2 cause a 2x4 isnt 2x4 its smaller i used 1 1/2 and it fits perfectly

make it 12f. Mine is 10f and I would have loved it to have it 2f. longuer cause when you do switch-ups and pretzel you will have more time to prepare some 270 offs.

make one rail slightly lower then the other and it works fine.

I used 2 1 1/2" PVCs on a 2x4 and it fits perfectly because 2x4s arnt actually 4" wide. There like 3 1/4 or something like that. Trust me my dad used to be a framer and ive built way to many things.

As for the lenfth of the rail i would go as long as you can. I built a 10 and its too short for pretzels and stuff. Mainly cause i get a ton of speed on my drop in and my rail is slightly down hill. Im building a 20 ft rail tomorow though
