Summer Camps in Wisco

I was looking in my freeskier and I noticed Woodward had a camp in Wisco, so I decided to check it out online and see if i was missing a sick opportunity right in my own backyard...well as i went on their site I noticed that they didn't offer skiing as an option just gymnastics cheer skateboarding bmx inline and such and I was actually pretty shocked they didn't offer any skiing camps here, I mean I know its hard to have sufficient snow during the late spring early summer months in wisco but come on I would expect them to join up with a hill around here and have a summer camp right here in the midwest maybe like a week after all the hills close or something. I know cascade offers a camp after they close but a woodward ski camp would be sick in wisco...any thoughts? http://www.lakeowen.com/index.html

ha the lake owen one is in cable which is an hour away from me and 2 hours from any legit ski area..so im not suprised about this woodward camp but ya i really do agree that there should be some kinda camp in wisconsin or at least in the upper midwest (minnesota, wisconsin, michigan, and iowa) if there is one tho let me kno..we need one baaad

There are no mountains nor enough snow here in summer to have a camp... every other summer camp is on a glacier or the top of a mountain. I don't there there are any summer camps anywhere in the midwest or even on the east coast for that matter... are there?

the place ur talkin bout sounds alot like lake owen... were they bought out cuz i didnt think woodward offered cheerleading or gymnastics

True but what about if they did it sort of how cascade does their camp in how they hold their camp right after the hills close so there is sufficient snow, or do whatever tyrol does for hosting the spring jam, because they had a bunch still left over

Nah Woodward started offering gymnastics and cheer in the 80's out in Pennsylvania and then added action sports as they became popular. Lake Owen is a sick place, fun good parks if you like to skate, and its really small. LIke 30 ish kids there a week.

There is no way that they could offer summer skiing here unless they blew snow for hours which would cost a ton equally a crazy cost to the campers. Pay to go out west or go to OHIO DREAMS and hit their water ramps which are definitly legit.

wood ward has been expirimenting with nylon carpet for the skiers and boarders with a bag jump.

i dont know wut the plan is for that tho.

how bout freestyle water skiing with rails nd stuff. idk if its done bt wud be a decent trainer for the summer
