It would be cool if there is a way when you are typing a message to post in a thread like I am right now you can tell if someone has posted a new message in that thread while you are typing. That way if you are saying something directed at someone or if you're in an argument, when someone posts while you are typing you will see and won't direct your post at the wrong person.

that doesnt make much sense, could you rephrase it please?

He is saying this:

Say you see this thread and want to say ' ^ your an idiot' to the person who posted last. Now, what if somebody else posts during the time you are typing up your response and you end up telling the wrong person he is an idiot.. or whatever. YOu get the idea.

It's not that big of a deal, you can usually tell who certain things are directed to anyways. And, if you want to call somebody an idiot, do it this way:

*cowboy* you're and idiot

rather than,

^ you're an idiot.

oh..what about just doing a quote option, where you would press a button somewhere next to his post, and it would send you straight to the reply area with what the other guy said already there and in bold with quotations with the name of the person?

yah i'll add a quote option, but only in the new version of the forums. I'll start working on those soon.
