Subaru Withdraws From The World Rally Championship

i would think that they would still be in it.. considering they're not an american automotive company and all..

thats nutssss. you would figure they would still have like a grassroots team of just them and thier sick cars minus the surplus of pit hands and the helicopters and all that shit. they should still be out representing. i mean hell the world rally in PA that i go to every year all the rednecks trick out thier like 1980's subaru's and go out. i'm sure subaru could put together a half decent team for not too much coin...

That blows but it is not like there will suddenly be no scoobies racing. Perhaps it is a good move for them to step back their factory team knowing they already have a large following and make sure they take car of their fundamental business before coming back to the world stage. I imagine they will be back soon and going for another championship.

wow that is so gay

subaru always make the best looking cars and does crazy moves all the time

thay cant leave that sucks so much

A little surprising, but after Honda pulled out of F1, I've come to believe anything is possible.

With the Big 3 (namely GM and Chrysler) in huge trouble, what will become of NASCAR? Ford vs. Toyota?

wow. I kind of regret not going to the one in Maine. You'd think Travis Pastrana or Ken Block or any of the top rally guys would do a season for less pay. I guess we never find out exactly why these things happen.

oh noes! what are the rednecks going to watch go in circles all day now?!?! lawnmowers?!?!

I'm really really bummed Subaru's out though, IMO the Impreza platform is one of the best built rally and daily driver cars in the world......

the president can only do so much when he is handed an economy that is in a recession. I can't wait for you to start blaming this mess on Obama.

generalist statement yes. truth, probably some there.
a 104 year old woman patient of mine (who is sharp as a razor) who i developed a 3 day relationship with in the hospital (as in a saw her three days in a row in the ICU sickos) said that in her opinion we are headed to another great depression. perhaps worse than before. i trust wise old women like her.
we are in fact in uncharted territories. we are no longer an agricultural society like we were in the 20s, but who knows where we are headed? we seem to be a society based on manufacturing, but with india and china taking bigger pieces of the pie, and everything left in the US crumbling for decades now, perhaps there will be a monumental, painful, years long shift just like in the 20s and early 30s.
as the youth of this generation we should feel privileged and scared to be a part of these times. i know its hard to fathom for some of the younger people on here, but pay attention because these memories of this time period will be unique for the next 100 years or more.

yeah, make the rednecks get fast food, then fuel it with all the fryer oil from McD's and Burger King....
