i've been seeing a lot of talk about style of pros, and it think we all need to get it straight. tanner is obviously the best technical skier, but his gorilla style is just not as beautiful as jon's, or pep's. one thing that pisses me off is when people say cr has good style, although i love cr, his style is just a bad copy of tanner's. i hate that when he puts absolutely no style in his airs and calls that style.

 
of course we can't forget candide who just looks awesome because his style is just as if he is falling through the air, which is true, because he goes so damn huge.

 
actually i'm gonna argue and say that jon olsson has the most technically difficult tricks, then CR, then woods. Not everybody can spin a 1260, or 1440, not sayin its a good thing, just saying its massivley difficult. what were u saying again?

i dislike watchin most of cr's segments, ure right that he does seem to have a similar style. Candide is a really sick skier, after watchin royalty i have a much bigger respect for him, because at first i thought that he couldnt do simple straight airs without flailing, but he can. Its not his fault that ppl would rather see him goin huge, and sometimes flailing.

he mixes technical trick with great style and has the biggest bag of tricks out of anyone,

Hmmmm, I havnt seen many segs of movies or shit but I can describe what kind of style I like. I like it when there is a nice tweaked uncrossed or crossed mute or tail thats leading and it just kindof winds up in the spin and comes out. Like the first hit in Forward, that is absolute perfection in my opinon. I also love it when its just slow smooth amazingness like pollards hit in ready fire aim, SO SICK! Landing matters so much for me and his landig was absolute perfection.

let's clarify that probably none of the pros have EVER claimed to have invented their own style. I am pretty sure Tanner doesn't walk around at interviews saying 'yeah, people are just trying to rip on my style. I will CR would do something original.' They all support each in general and give respect and props where it is due. Just because two people spin in similar fashions or have similar stances doesnt mean one is copying the other...

tanners gorrila steez doesnt look good, but i works so well for rails. you center of gravity is so low its way easy to balance. but i do like his style when hes in the air. other styles... like jon, anthony, and pep, and a few others i cant think of right now

lots of people have good style.. and theres way to much talk about like, o yah this person stole that persons style, but that aint how it goes... style is just what shows when people ride and are having fun and just skiing... and noone should diss tanners style, cause hes fuckin thugg life, and thats just how he thinks the shit looks good. and it does. so that works... as long as everything is smooth.. with a grab thats held for a while... clean landing with afterbang.. its all good
