Style VS. Send

I feel X Games judging is more on style and technicality rather than send and amplitude. I think thats wrong and should be the other way around. Thoughts?
 
tbh I like to see shit get sent. At least as far as holding grabs well, and taking it deep. Future spins and quads are pretty fucking cool, but there needs to still be a balance between style and send. If people just sent cork 3's and lip blind 2's every feature, sure they could have a ton of style but it simply is not technical, and so many people can do the same stuff with almost identical style, so they look to doing things that others cannot, which is what progression is.

Pros with style than can throw down clean cork 3s or clean dubs look insane when they float them off 40 or 50 foot booters, so maybe a mix of both? Its always sick to see young guns sending it to the moon and guys with style making simple shit look insanely smooth. I think theres a place for both

Style + Send should be scored extremely high. Style is worthless in terms of technicality if you don't take it to the absolute last possible survivable moment of the landing.
 
personally i've always thought style should be more important in edits/segments, and competitions are for sending. that being said, there still needs to be some degree of style in a competition run. i dont care how tech your tricks are if you're a boner in the air
