Here’s a run I did today, it definitely isn’t my best but I was wondering if I could get some tips on my style

Edit: sorry about the videos crappy quality, compression fucked it up. Putting it in fullscreen helps

1. Style isn't some definable thing that everyone has to conform to. Just keep skiing and focus on what you want your style to be.

2. Poles. Ditch them

3. the revert after the 180. Options after a 180 are: keep skiing switch, butter back to forward (must be a good butter tho), ollie/nollie 180. Reverts are forbidden.

1. I was really just wondering what other people beside my friends thought of my skiing

2. I ditch the poles and start to really send towards the end of the day, this clip was taken early in the day

3.I will stop reverting, that's a really good tip, I agree they don't look very good

Haha, hopefully, my comment didn't come off douchey, it wasn't intended to.

Overall your skiing looks good, honestly, your style seems pretty normal, but that's definitely not a bad thing.

One thing you can do is focus on something simple that you are good at, become amazing at it, and add variations to it.

Yeah, reverts are just a cliche thing that everyone does and nobody likes.

The poles thing is really up to you, but don't use them because it makes it easier for handdrags, handplants, and grabs.

style comes with being comfortable on your skis and confident in the tricks you do...my jump game style needs work

I agree with this. If you want better style, work having the form of a gymnast. This might sound like a step backward, but it allows you to take two forward. Good form stresses balance and air awareness, which make you comfortable in the air. Once you feel confident, then loosen up.

Also stretch. A large range of motion will let you look more flow-y.

I think sucking up your legs a little more in the air would add some composure, but your skiing looks pretty good from what I can tell from a 50 second video of you on a blue run.

I am by no means a syle expert but I always think that it looks good when peoples skis are close together and they look relaxed. I try to also focus on keeping my hands down by my sides at all times but it really just takes time and comfort really I guess

I would get baggier pants. Don’t sway arms as much with the poles. Bend your knees and head bang a tiny bit on landings

Pants are all good but the jacket looks to tight, and it being open reminds me of jerry's with the goggles on the back of the helmet.

Poles are too long

You look pretty young so don't worry about any of this shit until you can just rip blue runs, backies 7s 5s 3s etc.

Once you start ripping you'll look more comfortable on the sticks and then can incorporate good fits in there.

NB3's and girthy tail presses are good filler tricks. they also easy. If you struggle getting the 7s around then work on loftier 5s with overshiftys then when you do your first 7s it will just be natural af.

wait bruh how do i ollie or nollie while switch

or is this a stupid question

don't ditch your poles unless you dont feel comfy using poles in general.

just get slightly shorter ones and actually put your hands through the leash haha.

in my opinion you can fix most of the style problems in skiing with proper sized clothing that fits you and not flailing your ams like an eagle trying to take off from the ground. :)

keep em low at your hips and you already look G and relaxed
