stupid SHINS

I have been using the 2003 salomon 1080 boots this year and they are awesome for the feet but I have never had so many shin problems in my life. I had to take the last 3 weeks off because my shins are so dead and now they're super sensitive with crazy bad shin splints. Does anyone have any advice on my shin situation on how to heal it and prevent furthur injury? thanks.

try getting booster straps. or put bubble wrap around your leg, i do that sometimes. but ankles are worse, especially broken ones.

well if your still getting shin bang with a soft boot, you either arent putting it on properly, or it is just too soft..

Brian, I have been trying to look into those 'eliminators' tounge inserts for ya. Just yesterday I was filling out our KUU shop order form for next year, and they listed the eliminators as one of the products that we could order. So, my suggestion is to look up KUU and see if they can get you some, or a shop that carries KUU might be able to order some for you.

These really do work, I have never had shin bang since I got them. Hope it helps.

dude all u have to do is make sure u put the boot on properly, bang the heel down ,leen forward first buckle, lean backward 2nd,the center weight for 3rd and 4th. and have the topp buckles lil bit loose for ur shins un till they heal.

Switched this season from the salomon 1080 to the Rossi B2 boot and have had no shin bang problems all season.

haha my granpa used to get shinbang or some other form of it and one day he pulled me aside when I was icing my shins and was like nothing does the trick better than a few paper napkins or select small tablecloths... I was laughing my fuckin ass off.

some comapnie makest liek little leg sock things that fill the gap between teh boot and yoru leg, nice when yoru shins are sore, and you must be casing or over shooting a lot cause those boots are way soft

Ive battled these problems for years, used to use race boots, then kept going softer and softer, in boots. The best luck ive had is my line boot, which is a raichle flexon. But landing flat off a 60 ft table still fucks me up! I actually used a 1080 boot a bunch this year, but they really messed my right shin up! So i went back to the lines, for next year im prob gonna use a rossi soft boot or maybe even a dalbello since they have a similar shell to the raichles(3 piece)

^^same here dude. the line boot fixed my shin bang problem.

I didnt go to college and check me out im kick ass

forget it donny you're out of your element

Boys are stupid...throw rocks at them

hey, i have 1080 boots too and i only get really bad shin bang on my right leg too

-------------------asp-------------------

haha the LINE boot is not the raichle FLEXON, I have the RAICHLE flexon and IT SUCKS..... i still get shin bang and I hav booster straps. The line boot is made by raichle but it is certaintly not the flexon. THe flexon is the softest boot ever and gives sooooo much. Im def going wit the 1080 boots next year over them but Im prob gonna keep the liner that I used in the flexon cuz it rocks.

also i would like to add ^ about shins.....toe taps. DO em everyday to strengthen your shins. It really does work. Especially in the off season. Cause then when the ski season comes around you will have strong shins.
