Hey guys. Do you have experience with buying ski stuff from ebay?

i found this. What do you think about that? Is it even possible to buy airbag for that ridicilous price or it is a fake?
 
Looks like ABS sells that bag for $100 U.S. so this could be legit. It's not uncommon to find shit on ebay for 50% off. It definitely doesn't come with a canister though, not at that price. So, xpect to spend AT LEAST another $100 on a cartridge. Seems like it'd be best to look into the sellers credentials, and if everything checks out, make the pruchase.
 
Id buy an airbag in a risk free environment. If shit happens and it pops when it was suppose to poof, who are you going to sue
 
I've had a pretty good experience all around. Obviously look at their feedback score. If they've sold a lot of stuff and have mostly positive feedback, and it's not from China, then I'd say it's legit authentic. There's plenty of outdoor gear and ski sellers on eBay who sell stuff for insanely cheap prices.
 
Every time I've gotten something ebay it was better than I had expected. It's not surprising to find super good prices.
 
that looks like the backpack that zips on to the actual ABS airbag. They make them modular now so you can run a 10L for normal skiing all the way up to something like a 60L for multiday hut trips

Really? Didn´t know that. But still isn´t that part of backpack the most epxpensive one?

yes the true backpack part, with the straps, airbag and connection hose for the canister is the most expensive part. I don't think that is what the ebay auction is for

I hadn't realized this was a modular setup either at first. Pretty cool idea, same frame w/ straps and airbag, then just change the size of the pack you want to zip on, based on what kind of adventure you're up to that day. 18L for the sidecountry, 40+L for the hut trips.

Sadly, I dont think this particular product is what OP is looking for anymore. Do you need an airbag, why not just invest in a decent avypack to get you started then save up for a modular system, or improved pack with an airbag?
 
E-Bay will always have the chance of something bad happening, like ordering a TV and getting the box with some plywood inside.
