Studying abroad in Australia

Hey i'm considering studying abroad in Australia or New Zealand. I'm pretty set on university of otago for NZ, but I think it might be too cold to go there because i would go around july-novemberish. I don't really know too much about australian schools, i hear all their students commute to school though. I would prefer a place where majority of ppl live on campus(this is pretty big for me), i want to meet austrialians, not other internationals. Skiing is not an importance too. Any input would be much appreciated.

I studied abroad at Bond Uni, near surfer's paradise in australia and it was an awesome experience... almost everyone lived on campus, and even though there were a shit ton of international students (a lot of kids from the US) I still met a lot of aussies and kids from NZ so it was a lot of fun. I visited NZ for a few weeks though and fell in love with it - if I had the chance to go again I might go with NZ. either way, you're gonna have the time of your life!
