Student loan pause extended AGAIN

Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked for not having to pay but I certainly can afford it, just like millions of other Americans. If you select income based payments they're super duper low and not even close to unaffordable for anyone; I'll argue about this point if someone disagrees. This only worsens our national deficit. Why the fuck did they extend it? Perhaps young people should stop buying $4-500k houses on a $75-100k combined total salary.

Curious for thoughts on this student loan topic.

I never graduated high school. I currently own 5 houses that i bought for 4 to 500k and rent them out for 5000 a month. Now i never have to work a day in my life. The landlord life is a very lavish one. I enjoy seeing my tenants get gouged for every penny they have as they live paycheck to paycheck and most of it goes to me. You are probably one of my tenants, cheers, this champagne toast goes out to you sir.

You must have met Bellas friend @royardanielivan too! I invested $3k with him and got back $27,560!!

The last part of your post rang true to me tbh. Why is there such a gigantic push for kids aged 24-30 to own their home? It takes a while to become established in a career much like our predecessors did before us and they didn't start buying homes until later in their 30s. It just seems like another charm to have on your bracelet of bragging. This is SLC in a nutshell: Kids spending way beyond their means. They can barely afford their $600-800/month room so what makes them think they're ready to be a homeowner?

I took out every single subsidized student loan I could and invested it, I was gonna die laughing when there were talks of student loan forgiveness making my debt disappear that I just dumped into investments anyways. Didn't happen of course but could you imagine.

I personally think there should be a much higher bar for those who get student loans. College is retarded expensive and it's part because every brodie and kayla writes a blank check sponsored by the government to get some non-technical degree where they end up broke anyway. Private banks would never fund someone who is jobless and 18 years old for anything nonetheless something that cost tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

But without federal loan money hiw could colleges afford bloated athletics departments, unnecessary administrative overhead, and expensive gardens that nobody walks through?

It absolutely blows my mind how a football coach can make 1.5mill+/year and still have a losing season. If the ncaa isn't the modern day mob in plain sight idk what is

That one doesn't bug me a whole lot, its the d2, d3, and Naia schools still funding full athletics programs that will never have gains in the account book and are funded by a student body a fraction of the size of large schools.

You totally could use that cash on anything although if they ever found out, you'd be in big doo doo. People do it all the time.

Endowments for D1 universities can number in the billions per year. That's how they build shit, not from the govt. Why do you think names get put on buildings? Then of course good football programs that sell out 100,000 tickets per game every year with a minimum of $75/ticket. Do the math.

Thanks to all the progressives out there for helping me out. I really needed it. People in tech are really struggling right now. Please send more tax money from working class people. I need it more than they do. Please. It's progressive I swear.

20% tax isn’t high enough, just raise it to 75 or so, I don’t need my own money for anything just give it to the slobs collecting unemployment because they’re too lazy to get off their fat asses and do something

Bro, you just don't want to give us more money because you know we'll solve ALL the problems. It's selfish people like you that stop us from making the world a better place. I know we're running a massive deficit but if we could just get a litttttle more money by symbolically 'punishing' people who already pay a ton, then we can finally stop being a third world country.

Regurgitated Bernie tweet about stocks bad while ignoring stocks accounting for everyones' retirement fund!

I make 17 an hour in the northeast, with the highest cost of living, tax the people who have money to piss away, not me, I promise you it’s not that deep, and america is far from a third world country

Why do more taxes matter if we borrow more than we spend every year?

Explain why it should be up to citizens to fix undersights from the government

Maybe you misunderstood my question, or I misunderstood you. I was just saying, I feel like more tax money doesn't fix anything when we already are spending more than we tax.
