Stuck Step up Ring! Help!

so i own a panapvgs500.

i put a step up ring on from a 43 to a 37, so that I can use my wide angle lens.

now i want to tae this step up ring off and it won't come off. its stuck. what should I do?
 
i'm pretty sure exactly what you just stated happened on mine when i had a pv-gs500. 43-37 step down ring and i wanted to put a fish eye on it. and it got stuck.

i can't remember if i ever got it out, but it doesnt affect the filming if u leave it in there without the wide angle.

try this:

put a rubber jar opener on a flat counter, and put the camera vertically on it, so the step down ring would be right on the rubber jar opener. then hold the camera down and spin the camera.

get a wrench.... i had this problem only it was stuck to a fisheye... luckly i could put that in the freezer to shrink it... you cant really put your camera in the freezer haha
 
hmm. well maybe i can since the whole front of the camera can come off somehow. does cold really help it come off?otherwise, if it doesn't affect the filming, i'll just leave it on there.i think i have an old 37 mm lens cap lying around anyhow
