im sure most people have heard of sts9 (sound tribe sector 9). what do you guys think of them? i used to really like them but ever since there new album peaceblaster came out i have not like them nearly is much. i think peaceblaster kind of sucks. does anyone else think the same?
sts9 is comin to play a show in my area next friday and im debating whether or not i should go. What should i do?
 
i listen to some sts9 and i would for sure go to the show. Even if you dont like their new stuff so much it will still be a great show. go for it
 
had friends who saw them at red rocks with bass nectar in august or September. said it was the best show of their lives. I think you should go regardless of their new album. their a jam band and their published recordings should not speak for their musical ability. id much rather here a live phish recording over a record ya dig?
 
I first heard sts9 in 99 or 2000. First saw them in 2002. Here's the show:http://www.archive.org/details/sts9-2002-08-09.flac Listen to this show and compare it with something newer. They just were more instrument oriented in 2002 and earlier and only used the synth sparingly.

Thought this show was incredible. Have probably seen them 6 or 7 times over the last 7 years and they are not nearly as good or interesting as they were back in 02 and 03.

I last saw them at Rothbury 08, but left cause I was bored. Go see the Disco Biscuits instead.
