Strengthening thin pvc + other questions.

I found this pvc pipe behind our (t)hall. Thougth i would use it at my summer setup when its done, but only problem is that its really thin. So what could i use to stuff it ? I thougth i would put some wood in there put that wouldn't really help anything. Another thing is how am i gonna drill the pvc to the 2x4" im gonna put under it to hold the legs? Is it harder when its thinner? And one more question, does the turf have to be the exact one or is any kinda turf good? Some pics of the pvc and the plans:646645.jpeg646644.jpeg

Hopefully you guys understand my plans and +k for help. Btw the pipe looks alot thicker in the picture...

As long as it's schedule 40 pvc, you shouldn't have issues with its strength. But you might not be able to tell if it's not marked on it.

Yeah, getting the rail attached is a bitch with rails like that. You have the idea mostly, but will probably have to add some more support. try making some small wedges you can put on both side between the side of the pvc and the board you're attaching it to. It will keep it from moving side to side.
