Whats the best park skiing mountain in the northeast? Right now im thinking either stowe or loon from what I have heard about them. I need some help deciding. thx

loon...but stay out of the family fun zone...they have it out for snowboarders and those "annoying twin tippers"!

loon jumps are balla

stair sets are legit too, mad crowded on the weekend though, and you cant lap the big park without riding the ganjala but otha then that its all good

In all honesty, I love loon. BUT, the jump line they made for this year is a HUGE letdown in comparison to last year. First of all, it's a 3 jump set instead of 4. Second, the first jump is just a setup jump, second jump u have to speed check like a mother for, and third you bomb at but it's WAY too mellow. Third of all, when you're waiting to drop, you can't see over the first hit to see if it's safe to go (not a smart characteristic). Lastly, all three jumps aren't big at all. GUNSTOCK has a bigger jump than loon right now and it's fun as fuck!
I don't love loon any less, and I won't stop going there, but after seeing the "big line" finally up, it is a major letdown. Maybe it will persuade some of you to go to different mountains and keep the liftline down! :)

word, unless you feel like paying the EXACT SAME PRICE AS WHISTLER! for a shity mountain... the park is sick though so if you feel like hiking, then you should poach it.

Loons pretty baller. Never been to stowe peak season.

Loons got a really legit stairset and that huge wallride. Plus some good flow.

I'd still take mt snow though. a 65' booter open to the public? Next year it'll be even more legit too.

That stairset is worth a trip up to loon though

i completely agree with you....last years jump line was way better....but you need to understand there almost was NO jump line this year. All because of management and snow making issues. The park crew and managers fought very hard to get the snow they needed to build what they did. If you want to see a change next year, write a letter to Loon management saying that you were disappointed! But you are right there jumps are usually way better.

last year they had bigger, funner and more jumps in that line. but this year was still pretty sweet. also about midway through the year that third jump up top started to suck

I'm glad this pressing issue was brought back to like in may, when neither stowe or loon has snow, nevermind a park.

Loon.

The big line wasn't as impressive as the 07-08 season, but it was still good. They focused more on jibs/rails/boxes this year, and it was hella fun.

And yes, it can be lapped with the quad but you can't hit the pipe. If you hit the pipe you have to take the gondola to hit the top.

the only thing that sucks at loon is the chairlift system to acsess the park if u only ride the quad u can only hit the upper part an the first to jumps in the jump line and if u wanna hit the lower part u either have to take the gondala up which has the longest lines ever or the seven brother lift which is slow as hell
