Stowe FS ???

Please tell me not. I was happily reading the Boston Globe when I noticed a headline on the front page with Stowe in it. AIG, the longtime owner, is obviously having some financial difficulties with the economy and may have to sell the resort. The rep declined to comment. I personally am against change for one of the most kick-ass mountains in NE. Any locals care to comment?

Why wouldn't they? Its an asset, and AIG badly needs liquidity. The better question is who would buy it...

A few worries of mine- $89 lift tickets are not good. Also, all the development, and some idiots want to make it into the "Aspen of the East". THen again, they get alot of snow and the terrain is awesome.
