Storing your equipement..

My season ended 2 days ago due to injury and now I need to put all my stuff away. I've heard about putting your DIN down to 0, with that benefit me in anyway? etc

Basically, how should I store everything to make sure it's ready to go next year?

well there is different ways of looking at this, say on a torque wrench you have to set it to zero after each use or it will go out of calibration but the spring is alot more delicate and it's a different application, but take a ball point pen for example, the spring never gets used up (dumb example maybe). so for your own peace of mind it probably wouldn't hurt but i don't see it making much of difference, or saving the spring.

wax your skis though and leave the wax on including the edges (to keep from corrosion), next season just scrape and you're all set. i guess the layer of wax helps preserve the base from drying out.

also make sure not to store them near base heaters. some people say not to latch the breaks together, no clue why though, any one know?

Unless your springs are under max tension and you won't be using them for 5 years then I wouldn't bother turning them all the way down

Main thing is to get a coat of wax on them and leave it unscraped

Cover the edges too, it will stop the base from drying out and the edges from oxidizing

Store them in a place which isn't too hot, room temp is great.

u can still film in a month from now or so.. so just put ur poles away.. thats my advice..

most spring steel will not deteriorate from sitting compressed. springs wear out over time because of compression (ie, USE) you'll be fine.
