Stop the front page gifs

Every time there is a gif on the front page, NS lags to shit and the gif expands into other front page content. a good example is the adam delorme gif on the front page which while nice to look at lags, freezes and generally rustles my jims. if gifs couldnt be posted in topics or better, if they just didnt load, this would stop ns from perpetual lag. my laptop handles it fine, but at school and using my old comp, the gifs freeze ns. is there a way around this?

Fail on my part. I requested to have images show up in the thread summaries on the homepage... and didn't think of animated .gifs. Got what I wanted and it was fucked.

We should have it fixed this week.
