so i have been reading all these threads now, and basically everyone is asking....is double bio possibal, is double cork possibal, is double flat possibal.....ext....why do double, you all complain about cab 10s, doing a double is throwing it just as hard....
 
you gotta be joking... double corks are soooo soooo sick... Skiing hasen't really gotten to the point YET though of snowboadings double corks...

 
no one does double corks or double bios for every trick in events, so until that happens you cant compair a double cork to a 1080.

why try to progress the sport? yeah, lets just take a few steps back and do the same tricks everyone has been doing for 5 years!

you, my friend, are exactly what we as skiers do NOT need. the moment a sport stops progressing, the sport dies. you have to realize people are tired of seeing the same old switch 1080, and thats the reason a lot of us are trying to do something new. so, you think doubles look "gay"? people have been doing the new kinds of doubles (wilsons, dubcorks, kangaroos) for what, two years now? barely. im not even going to start on how bad the first 100 switch 1080s were. they were certainly not tweaked and stomped to the flat. see what they look like today? theyre perfected, why? because we have done them for 5 years now! no wonder we're fucking bored of doing them. in 5 years doubles are gonna look much better than today, but we have to start somewhere, right?

the next time youre gonna bash doubleflips, think first. no one is going to throw a zerospin in a big air comp to impress shit-talking little kids like you on NS, people do comps to win money. simple as that. and you dont win money for doing easy, good-looking tricks, you win money for progressing the sport and doing stuff other people cant.

I think theyre cooler than just spinning, Id rather see a doubel cork than a 14... well really theyre both pretty impressive, mindblowing acctually. instead of stop, you should say go!

ok so you just wnat people to keep doing switch 10s forever that will be real sweet, double corks and flips really arent cool at all and shouldnt be done, thats real great for progression, good post

 
Double cork = cool-looking

cool-looking = good

good = progressing skiing

progressing skiing = good

By my reasoning, double corks are good and progress the sport. Why not add more tricks? Why not do stuff that looks cool? Why not branch out from the same old tricks?

And by the way, people don't hate switch 10s because they are thrown hard, they hate them because every big air competition is won by someone throwing one.

He's not saying at all how they look bad, he's just saying how Newschoolers complains about switch 10's and other tricks. There's always something to complain about. I've been talking with some members who've told me how stupid the population of NS has gotten in the last year or 2.

Basically, just be optimistic and don't bitch.

Olenick's double in the Breck pipe yesterday was sick, scary and dangerous. When he ate shit a couple times, it was impressive. When he stomped it a couple times, it was even more impressive. Not just clean, but ballsy as hell.
 
Yea is saw some double corks at the hill like 2 or 3 weeks ago and its by far the sickest thign ive ever seen on skis

double corks own. i like them on boards more tho, it makes it look like the boarder is just tumbling thru the air. so sick.
 
dont know if ur joking but that trick is nearly impossible, it would b 2 cork 180s in a row. i think you mean double cork 7.
