Stop reaching for baseballs

I got it!

Yeah it's getting a little ridiculous. Someone fell last year at the Rangers' ballpark but survived. It's so grim that fans are willing to risk their lives to catch a baseball. Did I read that someone jumped off the deck, caught a ball in the air, and then landed safely in the pool, or did I just misinterpret the last two paragraphs of the article?

and do you know how many fouls/home runs are hit everyday? The odds are overwhelmingly against you catching a ball of any significance whatsoever.

60-70 balls are used per game on average.

about the guy that died recently...

according to that article hamilton tossed a ball into the stands and the guy reached for it and fell and died? pretty horrible feeling for hamilton i can only imagine...

I've heard from a bunch of people that you couldn't keep it. Like on your tickets it said that the ball is the property of the yankees or some shit, so he had to give it to them, and they gave him a bunch of free stuff to make up for it. That's just what I heard though.

The stuff he got was worth at least $1000.

2 signed Jerseys (Jeter)

2 signed baseballs (i think)

and like dugout seats for every game

he was given 4 tickets to every remaining yankees home game this year!! and the guy who feel into the pool yesterday at the home run derby was standing right next to the pool and leaned over to catch the ball but he feel in. he made the catch and didn't spill his beer

jesus christ, when i heard the yankees were giving him seats and a bunch of signed stuff i thought they were hooking him, what a poor guy

yeah but you have to think he's being taken care of under the table. if you read his interview it seemed he seemed so nonchalant about the $14,000 he could owe the IRS, like it was $1,400.
