i dont think you understand, my rent has gone up 50%. as a student i cant really go out and get a better job then i have now, and i cant ask for a 50% raise.

I bought a house last summer that has already appreciated 50% use your brain and don't be a sheep its not hard. (House across the street sold in 5 days for nearly 100k more than I paid for mine and mine would probably fetch more.) You think Im crying about property values going up in my super blue collar part of Boston?

I was just in Denver for 24 hours (no I wasn't a weed tourist was there for other business) the city itself is big and somewhat basic and there is a lot of it theres room for more people and money.

Colorado is a pro business state. People can smoke weed. Low taxes. Nice outdoor stuff. 4 sports teams.

I was right smack dab in the middle of it off 87 at 58th street theres a lot of room for more development and more affordable housing all those abandoned industrial yards to soon be developed and turned residential. Plenty of room for Denver to get bigger. Downtown isn't anything special but is kind of cool.

I'd rather live in Fort Collins or out Aspen/Glenwood Springs area anyways you should move.

trust me I feels ya. NYC and the surrounding areas are like that (and so many other major metro areas). I am about to buy a house and for the same price one would be down south I am paying at least double. But, when the housing goes up, salaries follow. Or something like that. Either way it is stressful as fuck.

Stop making Denver such a chill place to live! Start being mean to people ;)

Supply and demand. If you don't like it move, or buy your own house. Many simple solutions to your problem. Economies fluctuate drastically, especially in oil towns. I'm paying double the rent I paid 5 years ago but also making double the money.
