Stolen bag at keystone while night riding! Help

This guy that works at Keystone resort lost and found managed to message my sister's facebook and tell her they found my phone, + points for effort!!

She checked her 'other messages' by accident and saw it, so lucky!

but why would anyone steal a backpack and leave the most expensive thing? doesn't make any sense!
