PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 27 (UPI) -- An Oregon college freshman's sports utility vehicle packed with all of his belongings was stolen the day he was to move into his dormitory room, police say.

Jackson Honer-Hollstien drove from his small hometown in central California to attend college at Concordia University in Portland, Ore., on Wednesday, The (Portland) Oregonian reported.

When he woke up on move-in day Thursday, he discovered his white 1997 Toyota 4Runner had been stolen from the parking lot of the motel he stayed in over night.

"It's the worst thing," Honer-Hollstien, 18, said. "I literally don't know how to feel."

Among his stolen belongings were his Cannon T2I camera, downhill Armada skis and a new Kindle 3G.

If anyone knows Jackson personally, or if he's reading this thread, please send an email to info@armadaskis.com. We here at Armada do not condone thievery and want to ensure Jackson has a good winter shredding the Portland area.

i think thats this is really cool how when something bad happenes that copany helps out like 4FRNT and that invitational. just saying this is so nice and cool of you guys.

a friend of mine spent all of his money on ski and mountaineering gear when he was bumming around tahoe, like literally all his money. anyways he was going to go do a multi day ski mountaineering trip and he dumped off all his gear at the trail head and drove his car around the corner to park the car. 5 minutes later he comes back to the trailhead to find everything he owns stolen.

Holy shit huge ups to armada for doing that for this guy. I cant imagine having my life stolen from me like that.

I just had my car broken into while it was parked at my apartment in Portland, about a month ago, lost all my ski gear save boots and what wasnt in my ski bag. Worst feeling in the world.

Jackson, if you're reading this, after you email Armada, shoot me a PM, I have some local connections that might be able to get you some cheap boots and such for this year.

So sick of you guys for not only helping him out, but actually reaching out to him through every outlet you guys have. Hopefully you get a hold of him and everything works out for him.

I really hope someone can get ahold of him.

Armada, it is so sick of you guys to be doing this, major props!

If anyone in the future calls Armada not a "Core" company, remember this thread. This is true act of grace and respect to the skiing community.

Concordia

University freshman Jackson Honer-Hollstien drove his car to campus for

the first time early this morning, a few days later than planned.

“The first people I saw, I yelled ‘I have my car back,’ and they started screaming and dancing,” the 18-year-old said today.

An officer spotted his stolen white 1997 Toyota 4Runner at about 11 p.m. Saturday in St. Johns near North Seneca Street and Bristol Avenue. He called Honer-Hollstien, who picked it up with help from a new friend.

He’s made a lot of friends during his few days on campus. Dozens of people have reached out since hearing about the theft of his car filled with the belongings he planned to bring to campus. The SUV was stolen overnight Wednesday from the Super Value Inn off North Interstate Avenue. It was eventually found about six miles away.

“The

help from the community and especially Concordia University has kinda

turned the whole thing from a disaster to an inconvenience,” he said.

When

he claimed his car last night, the freshman found a mess. Thieves

jammed a pen in the stereo. Stains covered some seats. They had only

left behind some clothing, files and his bicycle.

His camera, skis and skateboard were gone. But they’re not essential, Honer-Hollstein said.

He’ll

be able to buy the necessities -- namely a calculator and other school

supplies -- with the help he’s received in the last few days, he said.

He starts class Wednesday.

The Oregonian published a story of the theft, and the school posted a Facebook message telling people where to donate.

“It’s

just crazy that people are willing to help me so much,” he said. “If

every single person that had this experience had this exposure, it would

be amazing.”

Officers weren’t able to find a suspect, and the

investigation is likely over, said Sgt. Pete Simpson, a spokesman for

the Portland Police.

“There’s really not more to investigate with it, unfortunately,” Simpson said.

Mad props to Armada, what a great company. Deff getting Armada's this year. And I hope the guy get's all his stuff back.

yep. This kind of stuff makes me proud to support you guys. I'll be shredding my ar7s for many seasons to come.

did you mistake 4runner for 4frnt, or is there just another thread that I don't know about?

anyways that's sick, i love seeing this kind of stuff on here.

Stoked he got his truck back and got so much support from everyone. And this thread is one of the many reasons I support Armada and rep them so much to everyone I know. It feels like you become part of the team almost due to such excellent customer service and support. +K and vibes for sure.

Awesome he located his truck. I know that you had no intention of this op, but the next pair of skis I purchase will be armadas. I was already looking at them but this puts it over the top for me. We need more companies with a sense of compassion like yours out there. Seriously well done.

Props to Armada kind of good will karma marketing that pays off

Unlike suing other ski companies for your patent on early rise skis were the widest part of the shovel is before the rocker or whatever your legal team advised you.

HOWS THAT LAWSUIT CEASE AND DESIST AGAINST OUR PATENT THING GOING ANYHOW?
