Stl durability?? addict durability?

they warrantied my friends 4 year old addicts and sent him a brand new pair of 08/09's

they delamed at the tips.

i have had my addicts all year and put probably about 60 days on them and the only problem i have are topsheet chips and a couple cracks in the edges. but i weigh 200 pounds so its a lot of weight abusing the ski

I would go with the addicts. I have heard 4frt has some durability probs but I can't confirm that personally. As far as my experience with Addicts:

06/07- bough addicts. Loved the ski but the top sheet chipped terribly+pulled the binding out twice- the last time it pulled out it had heliciols in it and it basically pulled the ski in half. Sent them back at the end of the season.

07/08 fisher warrantied them and sent me the 08 model. Much improved over the previous year. After 80 days in the park only a couple small edge cracks and some topsheet scratches and such but no chipping! Binding pulled out once but after helicoils no prob so far.

I am really hard on skis so I'm impressed they made it all year... the first park ski I've had in a long time that is still in decent condition after a year. I'm 6'2" and 200lbs so I just destroy skis. Rossi Scratch Pro's lasted me a week and they had a cracked/pulled out edge and actually broke in half- still in one piece but the top 12" is floppy- core def snapped.

I would highly reccommend addicts... they are so good in the air- really poppy- they are a little on the stiff side but if you have some weight bueering and such isn't a problem. Plus you can pick up the 08's for like $225 right now.

yeah definently go with the addicts. One of the most ,if not the most durable park ski you can get. They have a double layer titanial insert under foot to give rails a beating. The topsheet chipping will occur as with almost any ski, but your edges and bases will stay prime.
