So I assume a lot of people are eagerly waiting for the first of the JOSS videos to be released and then for the rest to slowly come out over the coming weeks.

In the meantime; take a look at the Oakley Jib-Vid films from this year. 17 teams of 3 were given 28 hours to create 2-minute films. The event is based in Mayrhofen, Austria; in late March; teams pick up their Jib-Vid bandanas early on Thursday morning (bandanas must be visible in films to prove no previously-recorded footage is used); and must hand in their edited films by 12 midday on the Friday.

The films are shown at a big projection party on the Friday night; the teams and a panel of judges score the films and the winner gets €5,000 plus a load of other prizes. There are also prizes for best filming, editing, most stoked, most creativity etc.

This was the 5th annual Oakley Jib-Vid competition; the O'Neill / Isenseven team took first place, with the Oakley Tigers in 2nd and Onboard in 3rd.

Check out the films at http://www.jib-vid.com/index.php?url=/videos

They are also online on Mpora: http://mpora.com/jibvid2008/videos/10/ and YouTube if you can't get that to work http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=E1E7F3B06A29A697

I'll try and Embed the Youtube player below; sorry if I have a massive fail here:

Oh, majoryly important; most of the films are snowboard-based; though a few of the teams do have skiers, if you want to just see these films the teams with skiers are:

Milky Boots Kids

Dalikfodda

LMP

Chamonix9000Vertical Feet

The snowboard ones are definitely worth checking out too though!

Cool post man! K comin your way

Thats a good idea making them wear special bandanas as proof

Yeah that one went down so well at the projection night; and they got the "most stoked" prize for it too; Webbo's double front in it is sick too.

Yeah it's a sick film; but the top 6 films were actually really close in points; I'm looking forward to seeing how much things are stepped up next year now that people know Isenseven are defending champions.
