Still slaying the mtn after snow season... what kinda mtn bikes do you have?

No, you're wrong. A soft-tail refers to a bike with rear suspension but no pivot points. It relies on the frame material (usually steel or titanium) flexing to provide a bit of squish. The frame is designed to bend. A fully, or full suspension refers to a bike with actual suspension. These bikes have pivot points and a shock. Please, know what you're talking about before making a stupid post.

And a Giant Trance IS a full suspension, NOT a soft tail

Most painful thing i've ever done. and that was just a 6 hour solo race. it was at Pats Peak NH, a 5 mile circuit with 980 vertical feet of climbing per lap. i made it 45 miles in the 6 hours, but it was undescribably painful. dont do it unless you absolutely have the conditioning. if youre a tank then go for it, its a good experience

07 transition bottlerocket swinger x.4 shock, 66vf, diety bars stem and grips, mavic 721, pretty much OWNS YOUR GUYS BIKESSSSSSSSS

I have a 06 SX Trail. It's small and I am trying to sell the frame so I can get a 09. Anyone want to buy it?

you should definitly do it in a team of at least 3 if this is your 1st race. That way you can crank hard for a lap or 2, then have a couple hours off, and pull of the race that way. Figure out who is a better night rider before hand- and that person should do more riding at night then any other time.

They are a fun time, especially with a large group. One thing I would recomend is having a buddy who is not racing come to wrench and cook for you- cause you ane not going to feel like doing that stuff....

Ive got a Misfit Psycles SS custom built, Surly Pugsly, and just sold my Blur LT (to small) but getting a Trek Remedy 9
