Stiffest pow skis 2018

I need a new deep day (mammoth) ski.

I am a former racer, park rat, and big guy (6'1", 200+ lbs) and after a season or two I have snapped basically every ski I have ever tried dating back to 2008. Last years victims were Rossi s7's, which I knew wouldn't last. But I have also snapped 4frnts, k2, and armada. Besides laying off the cheeseburgers, what should I go for? Are factions durable? are they stiff?

Moment Bibby Pro or Governor, On3p Billy Goat, and Blizzard Bodacious are all pretty burly. On3p is also making the supergoat now which you can get with 1.5x or 2x stiffness.

volkl confession, blizzard bodacious, nordica enforcer pro (most playful of the bunch). get a ski with metal in it and don't look back.

SUPERGOAT

Honestly OP, you'd be a great cantidate for the SG. 118 underfoot, 193 in length (but a true 193), still has the RES so it'll be pretty maneuverable, but you can make it stiffer like said above. 1.5x or 2x stiffer, or you can stick with normal.

Supergoat is my jam! awesome that they let you customize your stiffness and even pick the topsheet and sidewall colors. Thanks guys

Let us know what combo you end up running with!

grizzlycorns or pink topsheets with the aevergreene flex

I would say that you probably don’t want factions skis if you are in to snapping skis. Seen a few pairs of them break last year ( all covered by warranty but probably not the best skis for what you want...need)

Maybe the Faction dictator series could work for you but I have only spent one day on them, so can’t give you a solid review of how they hold up. They do seem pretty burley from what I remember.

If you really want hardcore

Dynastar legend factory. Or as previously mentioned faction dictator. Salomon lab 105

There aren’t many super stiff chargers left on the market as once the legs are tired they just become hard work.

There's definitely more than you'd think, the tricky one is for those of us who also want a twin tip that's stiff with a big sidecut, only a couple options that remotely work. flat tail it seems most larger brands still make the traditional charger. my wet dream ski is still just adding a twin to my katanas, skeet skeet change your sheets.

If you're looking for an Animal, maybe take a look at our new ski, the White Noise.

110mm waist. 22m sidecut. Triaxial glass with top and bottom layers of Titanal. Antiphase composite damping system.

Will sort the men from the boys. About as playful as a Rottweiler with its balls in a vice.

^^ a 22m radius is for choir boys. Shoulda made it 27 plus..

Katana’s rock, but good look finding them OP. Plus they are more of a one ski quiver, than a true powder ski. I like them in powder, but not nearly as much as I like Billy Goats.

With the Aeverflex Supergoat, you will get 95% of metal-ski stability, with the added playfulness of RES. They are going to be magic sticks for big dude chargers!

Agree. 22 is way to short. Put it on your 190 with a 27 plus. Make that a twin tip also and i'd consider it. Rode Scott Gambler 110's last yr for a day and had the same issue...radius is just WAY to short to charge.

Prodigy is quite soft. Dictator is a freight train though

Just had the Prodigy in my hands and it did not feel all that soft at all. Hand flex was a touch softer than Dictator, but nowhere like my CT 3.0s last year
