Stiffer ski

I am currently on Line sir Francis bacon and Sakana. As we have not seen much snow where I live this season I dream of a stiffer ski that can handle the firm conditions a bit better. I am looking for a twintip that can perform well on piste, in the threes and in a bit of fresh snow, no park (but like going switch). Something that can be driven a bit harder than the Lines I have, but still not feel too demanding. At the moment I have been looking at the Faction Prodigy 2.0 and Rossignol Holyshred (and the short intro at Blister on the DPS koala 103) Anyone with experience with thees. Or anyone with other suggestions.

All thoughts are much appreciated!

I've been on the RMU apostle 98's and they fit that description pretty well. They also have a 106. They're stiff throughout the ski, but the rocker up front makes them fairly butterable.

Thanks for the tip, I will read up on them.

I have the Devastator on a list of skiis on my radar, but was thinking they might be a bit wide for really firm conditions. Do you have any thoughts on that?

I think they do a great job in firmer snow. I had a pair for like 7 seasons and they only started getting a lil sketchy on the groomers once I had blown out the edge and sidewall of 3/4 edges. Like on straight up ice they aren't great but for groomers and especially on firm skied out chundery snow, they are all time

I feel that. I’m an American in Finland so I totally get it. [tag=271284]@anders_a[/tag] just got some J skis shipped to Norway actually

Live in Norway, lot of smaller brands can be hard to get.

Guess it just will be so expensive with taxes etc. Think I have to have tested them first to be 100%sure.

Anyone tried the Armada arv 96 Ti?

great ski, my current daily ski. it's the tried and true arv 96 shape just stiffer and damper with the metal. sounds like a great ski for your uses

Good to hear! I am a bit confused about the flex rating at blister. Seems that they are rated almost similar to the SFB.

SFB

Tips: 6-6.5

Underfoot: 9

Behind the Heel Piece: 9-8

Nah, the Devs rip on hardpack. Super stable on all conditions as long and its not literal ice.

hm sorry i havent skied a SFB in years and i think they've changed significantly since then so i can't compare the TIs to SFBs for you. what specifically are you looking to know about their flex rating? obviously it's subjective but for what it's worth, i think that^ breakdown looks pretty accurate to me. i'd be happy to answer specific questions about the TIs if you got em though, and i could send you a video of hand flexing them or something if you wanted

[tag=266617]@phatlip[/tag] if your local to oslo with hemsedal/hafjell on the side I got tons of stuff to try, BSL 28 primary, but 27-29 usually fits, some 26 as well, ref shareing a few with GF.
