Stiff skis

I bought a pair of Salomon Suspects from my friend because he got new ones and he sold them to me for cheap. Problem is before I liked to butter off everything and with these I simply can't. Is there any way at all that I could try to "break them in"?

So this is what Max Hill does to make his afterbangs soft like noodles.

What you will need.

kettle

two wooden blocks

Steps...

1. Place skis on wooden blocks so you can bounce up and down on wooden blocks

2. boil enough water as you think you will need ( you can always boil more)

3. As you bounce your skis up and down pour boiling water on where you want your skis to be softer

The hot water will cause the poly in the skis to expand and as you bounce you will crack the wood inside and when you set the skis down to cool down you the poly will become smaller again but will be more flexible and soft.

I dont think youre really cracking the wood in them, just the laminate layers, fiberglass and resins. The hot water warms it all us and gets it gooey allowing it to flex and 'break in'. Decent way to go about it outside of just skiing them.

This is sick, thanks! I'll probably try this, hope it works
