Stiff or loose

im having an argument with a friend.

i say a flexible ski is easy to land on because it conforms a little bit and he says a stiffer ski is easyer to land on because its more solid.

what do you guys think?

depends on how big the jump is, if you're going pretty fast its a lot easier to wash out with a wet noodle on your feet

Ohh the perfect ski.

I would say a stiff ski because you wont wash out as much, and if you have your wait a little too much on your noses/tails the skis aren't going to completely give.

stiff skis are without a doubt easier to land on. even if you land far up on your tips, the ski itself will help correct that, whereas a soft one will just give up and let you break your face.

but i still like a soft ski.

a soft ski allows more error due to it being able to save ur ass if u dont land fairly well but a stiff ski if landed well enough will feel more stable and feel like u stomped the shit out of the landing...thats why medium flex is the best...u get the best of both worlds

it depends on your wait, im pretty light and i ride a soft ski so i dont notice it as much, but stiffer is easier to land on

Stiff ski in my opinion. Imagine going fast off a jump and landing... a skis tail would just give way and you'd fall. Soft is more forgiving, holds a better edge sometimes... but I think the stiff skis win this one.

he was KIDDING

dont say shit if it isnt helping the thread

i like the soft skis in the park because they are more playfull but stiffer skis are deffinitly easier to stomp on

stiff, cause a noodly ski buckles and twists and comes off easier. and if you land back seat your gonna smash your head. thats no fun. usually.
