Matt:

How 'bout adding a newbie post at the top of the ski and nsg forums that has the FAQ - make it sticky, and title it something like (BEFORE POSTING READ THIS).

I know 80% of the people won't read it anyway, but for the 20% of the people that do, it will cut down a ton of crap posts asking the same questions...

You could include stuff like how to use the search feature, how to find trick tips, where to post questions about ski equipment, etc.

or have the help page come up for the first 4 or 5 times they log on and make sure it has everything they need to know.

I think sticky's are a good idea. A lot of good message boards I've seen have them, and they have less problems w/ repetetive posts.

only have like one of two sticky posts, because if there are a lot then they will just get really annoying, if its just an FAQ then thats a really good i dea
