Im giong to a summer ski camp this year and currently on 169 volkl karmas. Should i get a lighter park ski or should the karmas be fine? Any ideas for new skis if i should get park ones?

im 160 pounds, 6 feet, skis for stricly park, intermediate park skier, looking for skis to hit mainly boxes and medium jumps, itll be at coc

Get longer fuckin skis. I am your height and ski on a 182 punx. Trust me, the extra length feels like nothing, but is amazingly beneficial.

I would say get a new ski for next year for sure, longer and lighter, but if you feel you can perform on the karmas then use those cause the heat will most likely kill your bases, unless you take very good care of them. The other option is to find a real cheap lightweight ski around the 176-181 range and ski that for the summer and if it's still in good shape keep it for the winter (or at least half of it) but if not get a new pair. But that's just me.

it really depends on your price range. Low end you could go with Line Invaders, or something similar (remember the key to option 1 is to spend as little as possible but still get a sick ski, just check some website with outlet skis - http://www.evogear.com and http://www.backcountryoutlet.com are good ones) On the high end (if you're going to keep the karmas and get a new ski for next season) Armada AR6's are sick, Line Anthems are always a good bet, or even the Chronic or Liberty Phi Larosse Pro if your use to a stiff ski, again look around and see what you like personally.

They would be, if you can find them cheap enough. Remember, the heat can ruin the base of your ski esp. if you do a lot of rails at camp (snow is cold, metal is hot, the metal "melts" the base then the snow "freezes" it there - so you could end up with a distorted base). If you are willing to spend the money, go for it. The Karmas wont be the best ski for park, so if you can afford to get a new pair get them.

Their website says it's a stiff ski, but I have heard they're kinda soft but nowhere near the anthem, more like the chronic as far as stiffness goes.
