Hi, i was wondering which is the binding for me, im 5'8 and 160 lbs and all i really do is ride park, but a little bit of all mountain. so which is better for me

Of the 2, I would probably choose searchbar. It's rock solid most of the time. Affordable too.

(I know you're new here but this has been answered in depth about 1000 times and if you used the Search button at the top, just over to the right a bit, you would have got a whole lot of answers)

i have had the looks and wasnt a huge fan. they are good but nothing is as solid at the STH!!! ive got markers on my salomon suspects and the STH on my line blends and i feel like the binding is 100x more solid in the line blends!! get STH!

they're both very solid bindings what would work fine for you. just go with whichever you can find the cheapest.

one thing to consider is the fks 14 comes with the plastic toe piece. Only the 18 has the full metal toe, so comparing fks 18 to sth 16 is very close, but the sth 14 is better then the fks 14.

Ahh, but regardless of the DIN you still get the mighty mighty turntable heel and all the extra contact points of FKS blah blah etc...

It comes down to personal taste, what you can get a deal on, how often you break brakes etc... there will always be people in both camps and realistically, especially when comparing the STH16 and the FKS180, they're pretty damn close.

Hey, im getting a 181 cm ar7 and i need to know what size fks i need for that ski cause i want to get the pivot or the fks just depending on what i can find cheaper. Also i am 6'2 215 lbs.

That binding looks like too much plastic to me.

And do you really need an 18 din binding?

If you're worried, get the STH 16 Driver, or 14 Driver.

Solid binding, I've been rocking the same pair since they were released back in forever ago.

If you don't know about DIN, I don't think an 18 DIN binding will be good for you.

Get the STH 14 Driver. Solid and durable binding for someone who doesn't need something 16+

I iam deffinately going to get the saloman driver bimding. If you could give me a link to the exact one i need that would be great I just no nothing about bindings and im buying them online so i need to be sure what im getting.

If anything STH14 Driver is more plastic than Mojo/Tyrolia/4Frnt 15 or 18.

Tyrolia 15/18 are full metal compared to STH14 Driver Toe which has plastic exterior and mount. Tyrolias feel indestructible compared to STH14.

Ive had the plastic blow off, I call it the Terminator effect. My STHs are beat, but still holding strong, I'll post a pic later. However, I have heard great things of the Tyrollia (4FRNT Deadbolt) series

After 6 seasons and 5 skis, that's the most damage

you cant go wrong with a head/tyrolia binding, proven design by the worlds number one binding manufacture.

sth drivers, better toe piece than the standard sth, fks/pivots are solid bindings but just to fiddely and there a bitch to get parts for if anything goes wrong, u cant even get a new brake without sending them into rossi

Everybody has been suggesting good bindings that at your weight will do the job. You're thinking about it too much. Avoid the 18din models if you'd like to keep your knees and you'll be fine.

If you can get a better deal on the sth drivers get those, if you can get a better deal on the tyrolia bindings get those.

I have a pair of head mojo 18's (same binding, different color) and i have no complaints. They are really light but seem pretty durable as they've held up for 2 season. No prerelease issues. I mean if tanner and Jon and other pro level tyrolia/head riders are using them i think they should be good for you.

you dont have to set your din at 18 if you have an 18 din binding.....

really youre just paying for more long term durability IMO
