STH 12/PX 12 vs. STH 14/PX 14

So i'm gonna get either some STH's or PX's for this next season but I can't decide if I should go with a 12 or 14 Din pair.

6ft

180lbs

50% park/50% All mountain. *Hit most jumps, but not too many rails.

Pretty aggressive, but not an expert yet.

Unfortunately, only get to hit the slopes about 10 days per year so long term durability is not much of an issue.

Gonna be mounted on '07/'08 El Reys. * I know not the best things out there, but for the amount of time I get to ski, they will make do.

Also, If anyone wants to direct me to a good sale on either of these, post it up.

Thanks.

8 - 9.

The reason i'm contemplating between the 12's and 14's is because the 12's are a dime a dozen while the 14's a little harder to get a hold of. Even if I bump it up to a 10 for this season, I should be fine in 12's right? or am I asking for trouble.

I'm 5'10, 145 pounds. I ride my FKS 120s at 10 and they've held up fine. STH 14s have beefier construction but for the type of skiing that you do the 12s will be fine.

if i'm not mistaken, the STH series are a lot lighter then the PX series

could be wrong though

Even if you bump your DIN up to 12, you're fine. The dont-max-out-your-din thing is a complete myth.

Ok thanks for all the info.

As far as PX 12's, what are the differences between Lifters, Jibs and Fluids? The tech. specs all looked relatively the same so I didn't know.

lifters have lifters (higher off the ski). jibs are lower down. idk what the fuck fluids are....

i would go jibs though. they have a lightly smaller surface area too for better ski flex, and the lower mounting will be better on rails
