Did anyone else think the road conditions suxed today??????? cuz i crashed my xterra into a snowbank bout a mile past skykomish. i was only going like 15 mphs in 4wd when my car started fishtailing then went into a spin. i just got back from the body shop and they want $1200 for puttin ona new new plastic front bumper. did anyone else have troubles on the roads today? i heard of 4 collisions that my friends witnessed. i thin the dot should get to work, i didnt see any sand or anything on the roads. sorry im just really pist off and i didnt get to go skiing today.

Dont get gloves though, gloves are out. just use a cigarette to keep your hands warm.

naw ive driven up there bout 50 times. oooo im going tommorow, dont u worry, i jus was pist and thought the conditions were the sorst i have ever seen, thats all.

 
they were pretty crazy, but my 4Runner handled every bit of it like a champ, no wheel spinning, no sliding, no nothin. it was butta. just buy the bumper yourself and put it on yourself, im sure its not that hard, and labor is always a bitch.

yeah, what kevin said. buy a bumper, and get it painted. it can't be very hard to put it on yourself, a felt bolts MAYBE, but probably like 5 snaps is all.

you sure you were in 4WD? I can't imagine a car fishtailing and spinning out, at all, especially if you were only going '15'. you probably slid the tiniest bit, panicked, and hit the brake, and locked them up.

Sean's word of advise for all you kiddies... when in doubt, hit the gas. Brakes are useless in winter driving, gas out of slides. Much much safer.

c thats the weird thing, my car always does hela good in the snow, i got snow tires and everything, my 4wd is messed up i thin kthats y, i heard a clunk right before i went into the slide, i took it to the dealer and they said it was fine but im not convinced.

 
is it 4WD or AWD? If its AWD, then there could be the possibility that something was wrong. But if its just 4WD, thats mostly mechanical. You can certainly feel a difference driving in 4WD as opposed to 2WD. so you would have known if something had gone wrong.

is that a ford sean? unless that thing doesn't have 4WD im sure it could have gotten out of that on its own, and i find it hard to believe that a subaru would have enough torque to pull it out.

ya its four wheel drive and ya i felt it disengage. ive driven in 4wd many times and i felt it sdisengage right before the slide. ya i bet its cuz im from everett, i live in mill creek tho so ya

 
beats me if it had 4WD kevin, but yeah its a ford. the guy was trying to go up the hill (can you so....IDIOT). he got stuck in the ditch, cause it was all piled up with snow. So the guy in the L had to pull him out. an L!!! hahahaha.

kevin, you don't even know what torque is, shut up.

sorry but i doubt you were going 15, and you probably jerked the wheel or over corrected. trust me. i know from experience on that road 2 weeks ago.

that sucks man I'm heading up tomorrow in my JEEP and I'm sure i'll be just fine. see the problem is your driving an xteraa, this is what happens when you buy a car that is made to look rugged and made for Xtreme sports but really is just a piece of shit. sorry man i love ragging on the Xterra have fun skiing and good luck with the body work

XTerras are better than jeeps. A honda is better than a jeep. Even, god forbid I say it....a TOYOTA is fricking better than a Jeep. 'its a jeep thing' no it isn't. if being a jeep thing means being stupid!!!

yeah ya know i'm sure my jeep is worse than a toyota, but wait what vehicle did I see upside down in a ditch today...oh thats right a toyota, and also a honda stuck in a snow bank. hmm see a pattern forming here? let me point it out the JEEP rocked the pass some others didn't (ie honda, toyota)

I came up from the east side and went 60+ the whole way in my bronco. It the xtera has diff's that might has caused you to spin

dude all newer cars have non-locking or unlocked diffs, thats what causes most spin outs whats your point?
