Anyway, the stevens pass website now says they have 44 inches of snow at the pass, which I think is a little suspect because they had 10 inches two days ago.

How can there be?

Has anyone gone up on a weekday, the packing lot is packed, but the mountain seems empty, but when theres buses, thats when you get the insane crowds, I wish stevens would limit them better.

I don't know if you're joking or not...but there is for sure ski schools running this weekend. But since no night skiing there will not be afternoon busses coming up.

i would just avoid crowds by going in backcountry but tye mill is closed damn it. do you think it will open?

usually tye is one of the first to open, so they must have a slight reason for not opening it, perhaps theyll open it on the weekend, or when they get some more snow

 
weather might warm up later next week, the 44 inches will probiobly pack down, I don't see the backside opening up for a while.
