Dudes,

Our tentative plan is a big butter box that will have 3 line options on it. Were are thinking;

1) up box to butter pad

2) gap to elevated box or rail

3)gap to butter pad to down street style rail

The 3 features should please the beginner-advanced riders. We are hoping to shape a lip at the end of the pad so trickery off will be possible. Also there will hopefully be a couple features above this pad feature to alleviate a crowded zone. Once again this is the tentative plan and there are a lot of factors that go into building, (weather, cat time, snow conditions, etc). If snow conditions don't allow or shit hits the fan and we are not able to build this feature we will most likely go with a 2-line 6 featured set-up.

Let me know your guys thoughts and opinions...

Plank you,

yea, the work load i've been given is intense. I'd have to lop off apollo's nuts to be able to make it on friday.

but I may very well do that

Dudes,

Due to the torrential downpour we’ve had in the last 36

hours (about 8-10” of rain) we will not be able to run the rail jam tomorrow,

Friday, Jan 9th. The hill is in poor condition and our grooming crew

will be out all day today and through the night repairing it. We are still

assessing whether or not we will be open tomorrow for operations. Since there will be no cats available to build a course we

have rescheduled the Open Season Rail Jam for next Friday, January 16th same time, same place.
Please spread the word and I hope next week

will still work for everyone...

Stay tuned to www.ridestevenspass.com for updates...

Planks,

think how intensely crowded it gets in the base area and on lower showcase on the weekends, especially in Jan/Feb. Then, throw in a reasonably sized event with a bunch of people trying to run it and compete in it. Add lunch time, some ski school busses, some people that don't give a damn about rails, and all this other shit, and you got quite the mess. Fridays may be inconvenient for some to attend, but having a base area event during the day on a weekend is probably going to inconvenience more than it would otherwise.

Just a supposition.

At least it got bumped to next week. A foot of rain sucks ass, and now I don't have to burn for missing some bs studio.
