Stephen King Books

Duma Key is his newest novel, its nothing compared to the shining or salems lot but its a good read

i recently read cell. it was good. and they are not horror, but the dark tower series is good.

Outside of the Dark Tower series, which are by far my favorite, I really like The Stand, and Insomnia. For all the flack he gets, I enjoy his books. I always feel like I need to defend my reading of his books...did I mention I read Cormac McCarthy, William S. Burroughs, and other challenging authors?

My suggestion, Stop reading King, he is a wallmart author and a douche in real life. Met him numerous times, his kids went to my school and he was always a dick.

But other then that you need to read some legit shit.

Start reading Gibson, WIlliam Gibson.

If you want some other legit authors hit me up.

Amazing book. I think i've read it 4 or 5 times, because it's so well written and makes you think. Stephen King's style of writing is so different from other authors.

I feel stupid saying this, but Stephen King's The Boogieman actually scared the sit out of me. I've never really been afraid of Boogiemen, monsters in closet, etc but for about a solid month after reading his book my closet scared terrified me....

It's not a perfect series...several deus ex machina moments of implausibility, but by the time you reach them (if you're like me) you'll be so attached to the characters that it won't matter. If you're a fan of epics/fantasy/sci-fi/horror...I can't recommend them any more enthusiastically.
