Stencil Thread!

Hey guys, I'm sure some of you are into making stencils. I'm just starting to get into it and I need some ideas/inspiration, so I went to search and realized that most of the Stencil threads on NS are requests for a certain image to be made into a stencil.

First off, what kinds of materials do you guys use for your stencils?

Second, what kind of advice would you give to someone just starting to make stencils?

and lastly, lets see some of your work!
 
I walk by a nice polished granite wall everyday on the way to class and someone stenciled "sorry about your wall" on it
 
Threads.I've made stencils before I used to make them out of plastic file folders and cut them with an exacto Knife but am interested to hear a legit way to make them!
 
I make them using cereal boxes and a craft knife, glue the image on top of the cereal box board and cut the image out!

anybody wanna clue me in on what font this is? or do you think he freehanded it?
 
I stenciled some shit on my grip tape, and I have the classic Line stencil on my helmet. Are you looking for pics or just insperation in this thread? Just stencil random shit
 
I think i could helpIve been doing stencils on and off for a few years. I mostly use posterboard beacuse its cheap, will last and does a good job as far a cutting. I just use a cheep 16 dollar exacto i got a few years ago and just by new blades when needed.
