"Stellar" patella (knee injury recovery)

This past weekend I shattered my patella (the knee cap) while skiing. This is my first broken bone and I'm looking for methods (foods, techniques, anything really) that have kept you guys sane during recovery.

How it happened: I was skiing looking for side booters and the one I had spotted had a telephone pole to the left of it. So I was carving hard at a high speed and hit a small bump, this sent me flying pretty much horizontally into the pole. Shattered my right patella, huge bruise on my left thigh, and my right shoulder is pretty fucked (can put weight on it). Skied to the bottom 10 minutes later called patrol and them went to the hospital.

Right now it can't use crutches cause I can't weight bare on the left leg and foot.

Just a bit of backstory, have any of you done this? What's the recovery time (approx)? When they say "fully healed" is it really?

idk exactly the recovery but i know somebody that did it and was on crutches for like 2 months. your season is definitely over at this point

After both of your legs start to feel better, make sure you exercise both legs A LOT. They will be more susceptible to other injuries if you don't. Vibes
