for your backyard jib park source...check out www.jp4xtreme.com they have straight , rainbow, C, S and rollercaoster rails 8' long all for under $150 each. Definately worth checking out. I just ordered the straight and roller coaster for my yard..so i'll update when I test them out.

pretty good deal, which straight rail did you get...the 8 foot one?, the other ones seem to short, maybe they rainbow, and rollercoaster are probably good though

I know PVC doesn't slide like metal, but I just finished a 10 foot PVC rail for less than 20 bucks (PVC, Wood, Hardware). I'd rather build 7 or 8 PVC rails than 1 8 foot metal rail.

tru dat...i got 4 pvc rails that i made and it didnt cost me a cent...2 straight, 1 slant, and 1 rainbow...i'll post pictures later this week hopefully

 
And have you ever caught an edge on a metal rail? If you keep it smooth you shouldn't (just like metal), plus you wont rip an edge off if you happen to.

well I unfortunatly can say I have on a handrail. It was burred in one spot and I slamed my face against it, which cracked my lenses.

i have a 22 foot handrail that some guy i know made me. its 2 inches wide and 2-5 feet tall. Got it for 50$

I thought the skis made you good. I got the skis and it turned out I was wrong. It must be the clothes.
