Steep blows

^^ shredsauce man, it's fire. Steep if you're not stupid about it can be just as much skiing is as madden is football or fifa is soccer. I dunno what your expectations for a ski game are. Assuming I'm wrong and there is a plan for a ski game that would have a monopoly over the ski game industry, look at the amount of people who would play it compared to any other game developed by a major company. There aren't enough of us to make it worth it. Dozens of older ski games for the ps2, none of them took off like tony hawk or skate 2/3 did years later.

I've put a lot of hours into steep and I agree it's a little too cartoony/easy sometimes. I wish it had a park builder and a difficulty setting like skate 3 has, then it would be the perfect game
 
If shredsauce had steep graphics but kept the axis’ the same and rails and shit the same it would be the best game of all time

Hopefully park builder comes with Riders Republic. Its gonna be fun as fuck it they do that

I don’t even snowboard but that Shawn White game on the wii with the balance board was my entire childhood. That was my shit.
 
No Amped 2 was pretty much the peak of civilization and it has been a steady decline across the world since about 2003
 
SSX on Tour was easily the best in my opinion. They had huge maps, running from ski patrol, races and slopestyle, character customization, and lots of characters. The only real knock I think it gets is being unrealistic but on the other hand I loved that they just took that and ran with it with all the insanity.

honestly I hope they just add to the skiing mechanics from steep when they make riders republic, rather than starting from scratch, it would be a bummer for riders republic to have worse skiing mechanics than riders republic

We Ski and Snowboard was the shit! It was definitely more fun for the world exploring aspect than the skiing though. Once you had found everything and done all the challenges it got boring pretty quickly

I dont think i ever found all the secrets which is why it never got dull for me, finding my first secret (the closed trail through the cave) was such a memorable experience in the game
