Steel rail...

I thinking about building a rail tomarow, and was wondering, if i were to use steel tubing instead of pvc, would it work if i just bolted it to the 2x4 at each end, or do i have to bolt it in ever 2 ft?

depends on the thickness and size of the pipe and how strong and stable ur suports are.

I don't see why it wouldn't work if you only bolted it on each end but to be safe I would probably bolt it every 2 feet

it would be mad sketchy. i made a rail last weekend, put a 2 by 4 underneath the length of the rail. then, attach the vertical 2 by 4s to the wood, instead of the rail. ill post pics on christmas(should get my cam).
